Details: Melissa was last seen at the now-defunct High’s gas station in Paw Paw late in the evening. Her parents believed she was spending the night with a friend. She had a history of leaving home for short periods, so she wasn’t reported missing right away. In 1985, she had been attacked by Dwight David Blair, who later pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and served only four months of a one-year sentence. Melissa disappeared several months after his release. While no direct link has been established, her disappearance remains suspicious.

Details: Mary Jean was last seen walking away from her residence on Jenkins Road. She wasn’t reported missing for nearly a year, in part due to her history of going off-grid due to drug addiction. At the time, she lived with her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend. Blood was found on the floor of her home, but it was never tested. Her case remains unsolved.

Details: Linda was last seen at her residence on Gamble Road in Great Cacapon. Her live-in boyfriend claimed they had a dispute, after which he took a nap and later awoke to find her gone. She has never been heard from again.
